ATX-304 protocol

ATX-304 is an experimental pill that switches on AMPK, an energy sensor in cells. It has had a small phase 1b trial. It is not approved.

The protocol at a glance

In the phase 1b trial, 23 adults with obesity and prediabetes took ATX-304 or placebo once a day for 8 weeks. The company reports 400 mg tablets.

The 400 mg dose comes from company news coverage of the ADA 2026 poster (abstract 1782-P). The EU registry entry (2023-505967-36-00) says tablets but hides the dose until 2027. No peer-reviewed paper yet.

Community reports

Community notes suggest wide ranges of daily doses. This is community talk; only one dose appears in the company data.

What people say they do, collected from community discussions. Not tested in a trial; shown so you can compare it with the evidence above.

Mixing

No mixing table here: this one is used as a capsule, nasal spray or skin product, or has no human amount to calculate from. The general mixing calculator works for any vial.

What the trials found

Phase 1b, 23 adults with obesity and prediabetes, 8 weeks. Company-reported, not peer-reviewed:

Cambrian Bio release, June 2026 (via Longevity.Technology and Business Wire coverage). The company also reported better liver fat, belly fat, triglycerides and adiponectin, with no numbers in what I could read. Weight loss was minimal at this dose.

Side effects

  • The company says side effects were mostly mild and similar to placebo. It reported no problems with core body temperature or heart rate.
  • These are company statements from a very small trial. Long-term safety is unknown.

How it works

AMPK

It switches on AMPK, a cell energy sensor. In mice it raised fat burning in the liver and lowered fat mass.
